Catharsis

BonX
The oldest robot of the team, built in 2003. BonX was redesigned several times, originally sporting an axe weapon. Now it uses its speed as a weapon. BonX still competes with the best robots in Europe.

Rambi
The newest featherweight edition to the team and the first experiment with a lifter weapon. A powerful mix between Rambo and Bambi. First competition in Shanghai, 2018.

Beetleweight
Wajoo
Wajoo (pronounced wah yo) is the first beetleweight of the team, built in 2019. Its first competition was Bugglebots.

Antweight robots
DBA
DBA is short for Death By Accident. The name refers to a mishap during a tag team event, when our ant was destroyed by a team member. (We could have also named it “Oh, Sorry!”) DBA was the inspiration for the design of Catharsis.

MeSo
What would a robot look like if you had a nine-year-old kid imagine one? This was the starting point for MeSo’s design. Of course it should include a flame thrower, but then it would not be allowed to compete.
